Cassidy Miller Gerstner joined the District Attorney’s Office in 2015. Ms. Gerstner started her legal career as a law clerk for the Honorable John F. DiSalle. She graduated from the University of Pittsburgh in 2006 with a double major of Political Science and History and a minor in English Literature. Ms. Gerstner was a 2012 graduate of Duquesne University School of Law where she served as President of the Animal Law Society her senior year.
 
As an assistant District Attorney, Ms. Gerstner is the DUI prosecutor for Washington County. She is also assigned as the prosecutor for all treatment programs including drug court, D.U.I. court, mental health court and veteran’s court. Ms. Gerstner is a passionate animal rights advocate and has been designated the special prosecutor of animal cruelty cases in Washington County.
